On or about Tuesday, May 31st, 2022, around 9:00 at night, an accident between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer left a 62-year-old Arcade man dead. Troopers from the NYSP said the accident was reported along Vermont Hill Road in Erie County, New York.
Deputies from the Erie County Sheriff’s Department said 62-year-old Thomas Keele was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly ran a stop sign and struck Keele’s pickup truck along Vermont Hill Road. Emergency responders pronounced Keele dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident. Paramedics treated the driver of the tractor-trailer for unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is at the intersection with Vermont Street.
Police are still investigating the crash.
