On or about Tuesday, October 6th, 2020, around 6:42 in the morning, 53-year-old Thomas Pinedo and 64-year-old Micky Lawson were injured in a tractor-trailer chain-reaction accident east of Mount Vernon in Lawrence County, Missouri.
Troopers said that a tractor-trailer driven by Joseph L. Haddock struck the back of the semi truck Pinedo was driving in the westbound lanes of Interstate 44. A third vehicle occupied by Lawson was also ensnared in the accident. Paramedics transported both Pinedo and Lawson to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Police did not say why the tractor-trailer was unable to stop. Was there something wrong with the truck? Were the drivers involved all paying proper attention to the road?
