On or about Monday, November 22nd, 2021, around 7:00 in the morning, a serious accident between a box truck and a car sent three people to the hospital. Deputies from the Winchester County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Route 9A near Saw Mill River Road in Hawthorne, New York.
Law enforcement spokespeople said three as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when a box truck allegedly swerved to avoid a collision on Route 9A and struck another nearby vehicle. After the initial collision, the box truck drove off the road and into a Christmas tree lot a short distance off the pavement. Paramedics transported the driver of the car, the driver of the box truck, and a passenger in the truck to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 32 miles north of New York City.
