Details:
On or about Monday, November 16th, 2020, around 7:00 in the morning, an accident between a school bus and a tractor-trailer left three people injured. Authorities said the accident happened at the intersection of Carmel Road and Johnston Road in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Officials from the area said three people were injured when a school bus and a tractor-trailer collided in the intersection. Photos from the scene seem to show the front of the bus impacting the passenger side of the trailer. Three people were treated for minor injuries after the accident.
Police did not state if any students were on the bus at the time of the crash.
Google Streetview shows Carmel and Johnston are both four lanes, and both have a wide, curbed median dividing the directions of traffic. The intersection is governed by a stoplight, and is located in the southern portion of Charlotte.
Police are still examining the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
