Details:
On or about Wednesday, May 17th, 2021, around 9:15 at night, a single-vehicle dump truck accident sent two people to the hospital. Officials from the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported at the intersection of Allwood Road and Tree Ridge Road in Darien, Connecticut.
Investigators said two as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when a dump truck allegedly veered off the side of the road in a curve and collided with a garden wall and a number of trees. Emergency responders transported two people from the dump truck to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Allwood Road and Tree Ridge Road is situated on the north side of Darien, which is about 5 miles south of Norwalk.
Police are still investigating the accident.
