On or about Sunday, August 22nd, 2021, around 4:20 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a stopped or disabled car sent two people to the hospital. Officials from the ISP said the accident was reported along the northbound side of Interstate 355 near the exchange with North Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.
Police said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when a FedEx tractor-trailer allegedly struck a stopped or disabled car on the northbound side of I-355. Emergency responders transported the driver of the car and the driver of the FedEx tractor-trailer to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 355 (Veterans Memorial Parkway) and North Avenue is a short distance west of downtown Chicago.
Police are still investigating the accident.
