Details:
On or about Monday, July 5th, 2021, around 11:00 at night, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an 18-wheeler sent two people to the hospital. Officials from the DPS said the accident occurred on Interstate 10 near Sunland Park in El Paso, Texas.
Troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety said two as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when a semi truck and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified conditions. After the initial accident, one of the trucks rolled, entrapping the driver. Emergency responders cut the driver from the wreckage and rushed them to the hospital with one other person.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 10 runs north and south through the center of downtown El Paso, with the scene of the accident a short distance from Sunland Park Mall.
Police are still investigating.
