Details:
On or about Wednesday, January 26th, 2022, around 2:30 in the morning, a fiery single-vehicle car accident left two individuals dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported beneath the Farm-to-Market Road 1409 bridge just outside Dayton in Liberty County, Texas.
Authorities from the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were killed when the car they were in crashed under unspecified circumstances under FM 1409. After the initial accident, the vehicle burst into flames. Emergency responders pronounced both occupants in the vehicle dead of their injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from the Dayton town limits, which is about 37 miles northeast of downtown Houston.
Multiple agencies are investigating the accident.
