Details:
On or about Thursday, March 24th, 2022, around 7:22 in the morning, an accident between a van and a garbage truck left two people dead. Troopers from the UHP said the accident was reported along South Redwood Road in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Officers from the Salt Lake City Police Department said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were killed when the van they were in was allegedly hit by a garbage truck as the van was turning along South Redwood Road. Two people in the van were pronounced dead of their injuries a short time after the collision, while the driver of the garbage truck was treated for unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the southwest side of Salt Lake City.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
