On or about Thursday, January 14th, 2021, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a work truck left one man dead and sent another to the hospital. Authorities from the area said the accident happened along Route 1 in Topsfield, Maine.
Maine State Police said 30-year-old Tyler Dwyer was killed and his passenger was injured when the southbound work truck they were and a northbound tractor-trailer collided head-on. Paramedics transported Dwyer’s passenger to the hospital with unspecified injuries. Officials did not disclose how the accident happened, but noted fatigue may have been a factor in the crash.
Google Streetview shows Route 1 is two lanes that run north and south through the area. Topsfield is about 217 miles northeast of Portland.
State Police are assisting in the accident investigation.
