Details:
On or about Sunday, February 13th, 2022, around 10:15 in the morning, an accident between a tow truck and a passenger vehicle left a 5-month-old child dead and sent a woman to the hospital. Deputies from the HSCO said the accident was reported at the intersection of West Little York Road and Cunningham Road in Harris County, Texas.
Local law enforcement personnel said 5-month-old Ulysses Romero was killed, while Esbeidy Linares was injured when a tow truck driven by Jose Luna allegedly slammed into the vehicle Romeo and Linares were in while they were stopped at a red light at the intersection of West Little York Road and Cunningham Road. Paramedics rushed Romero and Linares to a nearby hospital where Romero succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
Authorities have since charged Jose Luna with manslaughter and aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury in connection with the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of West Little York Road and Cunningham Road is on the northwest side of Harris County.
Police are still investigating the collision.
