Details:
On or about Tuesday, April 5th, 2022, sometime in the afternoon hours, a hit-and-run accident between a pedestrian and a box truck left a 57-year-old woman dead. Officials from the FHP said the accident was reported along Curry Ford Road in Orlando, Florida.
Representatives from the Florida Highway Patrol said 57-year-old Virginia Olivo was killed when she was allegedly hit by a box truck as she was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic on Curry Ford Road. After the initial accident, the box truck fled the scene. Emergency responders pronounced Olivo dead a short time after the accident.
Authorities have since arrested 30-year-old Miguel Valero Gonzalez in connection with the accident.
Officials are still working to pin down the cause of the accident.
