Details:
A 2-year-old boy was killed and four other people injured in a head-on collision with a tractor-trailer on the Newport Gap Pike near Valley Lane, in Hockessin, DE. According to Delaware State Police the accident occurred around 4:10 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, 2025. Initial reports indicate the 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee was travelling south when it drifted into the northbound lanes. The Jeep and the tractor-trailer then collided head-on. All of the occupants of the Jeep were transported to a nearby hospital, where the 2-year-old was pronounced dead. The tractor-trailer driver was reported to be uninjured in the crash. Delaware State Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
