On or about Friday, October 16th, 2020, around 8:00 in the evening, a tractor-trailer accident with a motorcycle left a 35-year-old Toulon resident dead. The accident happened on Route 17 near the intersection with County Road 975E just outside Wyoming in Stark County, Illinois.
Sheriff’s Office spokespeople said that 35-year-old Alex B. Brady was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a tractor-trailer that allegedly turned into his path from a farm field just off the roadway on Route 17. Brady was ejected from the motorcycle in the crash and died of his injuries a short time later.
Inspecting the area where the accident took place on Google Maps shows that Route 17 is a two lane roadway that cuts through a rural, agricultural area. Wyoming is roughly 33 miles northwest of Peoria.
