On or about Friday, May 6th, 2022, around 9:00 in the morning, an accident between two tractor-trailers left one man dead and sent another to the hospital. Troopers from the ISP said the accident was reported along 70th Avenue at the intersection with 160th Street in Kossuth County, Iowa.
Representatives from the Iowa State Police said 48-year-old Allan Schuler was killed when the tractor-trailer he was driving was allegedly hit by an 18-wheeler driven by 49-year-old Chad Bjork at the intersection of 70th Avenue and 160th Street. Emergency responders pronounced Schuler dead a short time after the accident, while Bjork was taken to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center with serious injuries stemming from the accident.
