On or about December 10th, 2020, around 3:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a car and an oilfield service truck sent a woman and child to the hospital. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident happened along Highway 183 near County Road 338 in Gonzales County, Texas.
Police spokespeople said 24-year-old Ashley Marie Ferre and a child in her car were injured when they allegedly collided with a oilfield service truck that was blocking the roadway so another truck could reverse into the roadway. Ferre and a 4-year-old child in the car were rushed to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, Gonzales County is located about 70 miles east of San Antonio.
