On or about Wednesday, August 25th, 2021, around 8:00 in the morning, an accident between a box truck and six other vehicles sent three people to the hospital. Investigators said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Route 1 in Brunswick, Maine.
Maine State Police said 23-year-old Bianca McKay and two others were injured when a box truck allegedly slammed into her vehicle and caused a chain-reaction accident with several other vehicles. McKay and two others were rushed to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident. Police identified Chenda Douer as the driver of the box truck.
According to Google Maps, Route 1 runs north and south through Brunswick, which is about 26 miles north of downtown Portland.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
