Details:
On or about Monday, March 15th, 2021, around 11:30 in the morning, an accident between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer left a 38-year-old Kopperl man dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident happened along Highway 174 just outside Blum in Hill County, Texas.
Texas DPS Troopers said 38-year-old Bruce Jernigan Jr. was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly veered from the southbound lanes and struck Jernigan’s northbound Chevrolet Silverado. Paramedics pronounced Jernigan dead of his injuries after the accident. Officers did not mention any other injuries in their initial report.
According to Google Maps, the accident happened just west of Blum, which is roughly 56 miles southeast of downtown Dallas.
State and local law enforcement agencies are investigating the accident at this time.
