On or about Sunday, May 23rd, 2021, around 5:25 in the morning, an accident between a car and a tanker truck claimed the lives of two men. Officials from the MSP said the accident happened along Highway 6 in Ottawa County, Michigan.
Police said 48-year-old Charles Fletcher and 58-year-old Lawrence Green were killed when Fletcher’s tractor-trailer allegedly lost control and rolled in the roadway before Green’s car collided with the truck. Both vehicles burst into flames after the initial accident. Fletcher and Green died of their injuries at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the crash is situated in Jamestown Township, which is about 17 miles southwest of Grand Rapids.
Michigan State Police assisted local law enforcement at the scene.
