On or about Thursday, November 4th, 2020, around 3:52 in the morning, an accident between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 22-year-old man from Hermleigh. Officials said the accident happened on Highway 180 in Borden County, Texas.
Troopers from the DPS said 22-year-old Coletyn King was killed when the Dodge Ram he was driving allegedly crossed over the center line of the highway and hit a tractor-trailer. King died of his injuries at the scene, while his passenger was taken to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
Google Streetview shows Highway 180 is two lanes that run east and west through Borden County, which is located roughly 68 miles southeast of Lubbock.
