Details:
On or about Thursday, December 31st, 2020, an accident between a farm tractor and a box truck claimed the life of a 64-year-old man from Wetumka. Troopers from the OHP said the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of State Highway 9 just west of Wetumka in Hughes County, Oklahoma.
Law enforcement sources said 64-year-old Dallas Pryor was killed when his John Deere farm tractor was allegedly rear-ended by a box truck as they were both traveling in the eastbound lanes. The tractor was pushed off the road and rolled following the initial collision. Pryor died of his injuries at the scene of the accident.
Authorities did not release the name of the 72-year-old box truck driver.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is located about 5.5 miles west of Wetumka, which is situated about 85 miles east of Oklahoma City.
State and local police agencies are investigating.
