Details:
On or about Tuesday, December 7th, 2021, around 9:20 at night, a serious two-vehicle head-on accident claimed the lives of two individuals. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 84 in Hockley County, Texas.
Investigators from the area said 63-year-old Daniel Dwain Orr and 63-year-old Mark Magsanay were killed when the cars they were driving collided head-on when one of them may have crossed over the center line of Highway 84. Emergency responders pronounced Orr and Magsanay dead of their injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, Highway 84 cuts east and west through Hockley County, which is about 30 miles west of downtown Lubbock.
Police are still investigating the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
