Details:
On or about Saturday, October 11th, 2020, a tractor-trailer accident left a 26-year-old man dead. The accident happened in the southbound lanes of Interstate 35 about 5 miles north of Winston in Daviess County, Missouri.
Troopers from the Highway Patrol have said that 26-year-old Darwin Alberto Chavez Cardoza was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly slammed into an SUV on the side of the interstate. The SUV was pushed forward and struck Cardoza.
Paramedics pronounced Cardoza a short time after the accident.
Examining Google Maps shows Interstate 35 cutting northbound and southbound through Winston, which is around 12 miles north of Cameron MO.
MSHP Troopers are assisting local law enforcement with the investigation.
