Details:
On or about Monday, July 26th, 2021, around 3:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a heavy-duty pickup truck towing a trailer left a 52-year-old man dead. Troopers from the KSP said the accident was reported om the northbound side of Interstate 165 in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Deputies from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office said 52-year-old David McClain was killed when a heavy-duty pickup truck towing a trailer allegedly lost control follo9wing a tire blowout and slammed into McClain’s tractor-trailer. Paramedics pronounced McClain dead of his injuries a short time after the accident. Police identified the driver of the heavy-duty truck as 53-year-old Anthony Rutledge, who suffered unspecified injuries in the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 165 runs north and south through the center of Bowling Green.
Police are still examining the factors surrounding the incident.
