On or about Wednesday, June 1st, 2022, around 5:00 in the afternoon, a major accident between a passenger vehicle and a FedEx truck left a 30-year-old man dead. Troopers from the LSP said the accident was reported along Highway 12 in Beauregard Parish, Louisiana.
Spokespeople from the Louisiana State Police said 30-year-old David Riley was killed when a FedEx truck allegedly hit his vehicle while attempting to pass in a no-passing zone on Highway 12. Emergency responders pronounced Riley dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from Ragley.
Authorities are still looking into the crash.
