Edward Rodriguez was killed, and Ricardo Zamora and Johnny Sanchez were injured after a pressurized pipe ruptured at the Permian Resources-Guthrie State D 132H Well Site on Highway 285 near CR 114 in Reeves County, TX. The Reeves County Sheriff’s Office reports the accident took place on Monday, January 27, 2025. Propetro was employing fracking operations at the site, and reports indicate the pressurized line holding approximately 9,000 PSI, with valves on each end, was disconnected prior to the accident. Hazmat crews along with Propetro personnel were brought in to evaluate the situation, as well as OSHA and the Reeve’s County Sheriff’s Office ongoing investigations into the incident.
