Eight people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision involving a hit-and-run tractor-trailer on Highway 19 and Old Highway 19 in Schley County, GA. Georgia State Patrol reports the crash happened around 7:50 a.m. on Monday, March 24, 2025.
The initial collision involved a 2013 and a 2017 Ford Fusion, with the 2017 pulling onto the side of the road. It was then struck by a tractor-trailer, which proceeded to flee the scene of the accident. Multiple other vehicles then collided, setting off a chain reaction of crashes.
Fog is believed to have played a role in the collision, and authorities are currently searching for the driver of the tractor-trailer.
