Details:
On or about Tuesday, December 7th, 2021, around 6:00 in the evening, an accident between a work van and a heavy-duty pickup truck sent three individuals to the hospital. Spokespeople from the DPS said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of State Highway 63 just outside Jasper, Texas.
Texas Department of Public Safety officials said 48-year-old Enrique Valdez, 38-year-old Larry Neel, and one other person were injured when the work van Neel was driving allegedly struck the back of Valdez’ pickup truck on Highway 63. Emergency responders transported Valdez, Valdez’s as-of-yet unidentified passenger, and Neel to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity stemming from the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance east of Jasper, which is about 134 miles northeast of downtown Houston.
