On or about Thursday, April 22nd, 2021, around 11:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an ambulance sent four individuals to the hospital. Deputies from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at the intersection of Market Street and North West Street in Lima, Ohio.
Police said three paramedics and a patient in an ambulance were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly failed to yield to the emergency vehicle at the intersection. Authorities said the ambulance was traveling west on Market Street with lights and sirens active when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck the ambulance. Three paramedics and a patient on the ambulance were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
