On or about Friday, October 16th, 2021, around 7:06 in the evening, an accident between a train and a tractor-trailer sent four people to the hospital. Officials from the OHP said the accident was reported at a crossing at or near the intersection of Highway 77 and Addington Bend Road just outside Marietta in Love County, Oklahoma.
Authorities said four as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when a tractor-trailer was allegedly hit by a train when the truck got stuck on the tracks. Emergency responders transported four people to the hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident. Police did not indicate which vehicle the victims were in at the time of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the accident happened a short distance from Marietta, which is about 114 miles south of downtown Oklahoma City.
Police are still investigating the incident.
