On or about Sunday, January 23rd, 2022, around 1:13 in the morning, a major single-vehicle car accident left a 43-year-old woman dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 322 just outside Henderson in Rusk County, Texas.
Law enforcement officials said 43-year-old Gabriela F. Bozeman was killed when the Chevrolet Trailblazer she was in allegedly drove off the side of State Highway 322 when it struck a tree a short distance off the pavement. Paramedics pronounced Bozeman dead of her injuries a short time after they responded to the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Henderson, which is about 136 miles southeast of downtown Dallas.
Police are still trying to pin down all the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
