On or about Friday, November 5th, 2021, around 1:34 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle sent a man and a woman to the hospital. Troopers from the DPS said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Interstate 35 in Lytle, Texas.
Authorities from the area said 37-year-old Gerardo Rojas and 79-year-old Lidia Rojas were injured when the car they were in was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer that swerved unexpectedly into their lane on I-35. Emergency responders treated Lidia and Gerado Rojas for unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
Officials have indicated that the truck driver’s inattention may have been a factor in the accident.
According to Google Maps, Lytle is about 24 miles southwest of downtown San Antonio.
Police are still investigating the incident.
