On or about Wednesday, May 19th, 2021, around 4:05 in the morning, an accident between a tow truck and an SUV sent a 29-year-old Brigantine man to the hospital. Officials from the NJHP said the accident was reported along the White Horse Pike near the exchange with Nectar Avenue in Galloway Township, New Jersey.
Investigators said 29-year-old James McKenna was injured when a tow truck allegedly slammed into the back of his Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV in the eastbound lanes of the White Horse Pike. Emergency responders cut McKenna from the wreckage and rushed him to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the crash. Police identified the driver of the tow truck as Vincent Koes, who was cited following the crash.
According to Google Maps, the White Horse Pike runs east and west through Galloway Township, which is a short distance north of Atlantic City.
Authorities are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
