On or about Thursday, April 8th, 2021, around 2:45 in the afternoon, an accident between an SUV and a flatbed truck left one person dead and sent another to the hospital. Deputies from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at the intersection of King Road and Rockdale Road in Bloomfield Township, Pennsylvania.
Police from the area said 34-year-old Jamie Higley was killed and Randi Cook was injured when the SUV they were in allegedly collided with a flatbed truck that had turned into their path. Higley died of her injuries a short time after the accident, while Cook was treated for unspecified injuries stemming from the incident.
According to Google Maps, Bloomfield Township is about 112 miles north of Pittsburgh.
Officers are still investigating the incident.
