Details:
On or about Tuesday, May 18th, 2021, around 1:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a dump truck and a motorcycle left a 76-year-old man dead. Troopers from the PSP said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Route 72 in Woodland, Pennsylvania.
Authorities said 76-year-old Jefferey Roller was killed when a dump truck allegedly struck his motorcycle when he may have been pulling off the westbound shoulder of Route 72. After the initial collision, the dump truck rolled off the side of the roadway. Paramedics pronounced Roller dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the accident. The driver of the dump truck sustained minor injuries.
According to Google Maps, Route 72 cuts east and west through Woodland, which is about 126 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.
Police are still investigating the accident.
