Details:
On or about Tuesday, November 10th, 2020, an accident between a pickup and a parked truck left one man dead and a woman seriously hurt. Texas DPS said the accident happened in the southbound lanes of Highway 190 just north of Hearne in Robertson County, Texas.
Department of Public Safety officials said 76-year-old Jimmie Edward Fagan was killed, and 73-year-old Jerry Steele Fagan was injured when their pickup truck allegedly struck the back of a parked Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck. The truck was allegedly parked with it’s lights off near a construction zone.
Paramedics pronounced Jimmie Fagan dead at the scene, while Jerry Fagan was rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital where she was last reported in serious condition.
Looking at Highway 190 on Google Maps shows it is four lanes, with a wide, grassy median dividing north and southbound traffic. Hearne is located about 65 miles southwest of Waco.
State and local law enforcement are investigating the accident.
