On or about Sunday, October 11th, 2020, around 11:00 at night, a collision between a sedan and a tractor-trailer killed two people in the car. The accident took place on FM 1960 East near the intersection with Richey Road, just outside Humble, Texas.
Deputies from Harris County said that Jonathan Davis and Pershella Howard died when the car they were in collided with an 18-wheeler. The tractor-trailer was allegedly attempting a U-turn from the eastbound lanes to the westbound lanes.
Davis and Howard died from their injuries a short time after the collision.
Reviewing the area on Google Maps shows FM 1960 E as a six lane thoroughfare that runs east and west, while Richey Road runs north and south with a curbed grassy median dividing traffic. The intersection is about 22 miles north of downtown Houston.
Officials are still looking into the incident and hope to release more information when it becomes available.
