On or about Monday, October 5th, 2020, at or around 8:45 in the morning, 16-year-old Jo’Ovyonne Kortize Du’shon Williams was killed when he was hit by a utility truck while riding his bike in Joilet, Illinois.
Deputies from the Will County Sheriff’s Office said that Williams allegedly failed to yield to a utility truck at or near the intersection of Route 53 and Rachel Avenue. Paramedics pronounced Williams dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident.
Officers declined to confirm what led them to believe Williams failed to yield. No witnesses were mentioned, besides the driver. Could there be more to this?
