Details:
On or about September 7th, 2021, a major hit-and-run accident between a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle left a 74-year-old man dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 90 in Beaumont, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Texas DPS said 74-year-old Kenneth Weaver was killed when the motorcycle he was on was allegedly hit by a passenger vehicle that failed to yield along Highway 90. After the initial accident, the passenger vehicle fled the scene. Emergency responders rushed Weaver to St. Elizabeth Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
Police have since charged 37-year-old Brittian Kerr with failing to stop and render aid resulting in death in connection with the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is at the intersection with Main Lane.
