Details:
On or about Sunday, October 24th, 2021, around 11:40 in the morning, an accident between a car and a recreational vehicle left one person dead and sent two others to the hospital. Officials from the ASP said the accident was reported along Highway 65 in Leslie, Arkansas.
Troopers from the Arkansas State Police said 48-year-old Laveta Wofford was killed and 48-year-old Ronald Wofford was injured when the car they were in allegedly veered over the center line of Highway 65 and collided with a recreational vehicle in the oncoming lanes. Laveta Wofford died of her injuries, while Ronald Wofford and a passenger in the recreational vehicle, identified as 61-year-old Susan Benefiel were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
According to Google Maps, Highway 65 runs north and south through Leslie, which is about 90 miles north of Little Rock.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
