On or about Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021, around 10:10 in the morning, an accident between two tractor-trailers and several cars left a 59-year-old woman dead. Authorities from the TSP said the accident happened on the eastbound side of Interstate 24 near the exchange with Interstate 65 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Officials said 59-year-old Lois Mader was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck several vehicles that had slowed or stopped for traffic, pushing the vehicles into another tractor-trailer and a pickup truck. Mader, who was driving a Jeep Wrangler, was pronounced dead of her injuries after the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries in their preliminary report.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is situated on the north side of Nashville.
Police are still investigating the accident.
