Details:
On or about Wednesday, October 28th, 2020, around 11:01 in the morning, a single-vehicle flatbed truck accident claimed the life of one man and sent another to the hospital with serious injuries. Texas DPS said the accident happened on Highway 190 just outside Bryan, Texas.
Police said that Luke Wayne Harrison was killed and Christopher Wayne Thornton was injured when the flatbed truck Harrison was driving skidded off the side of Highway 190 before it crashed into several trees. Both Harrison and Thornton were rushed to area hospitals where Harrison died a short time after his arrival. Thornton was last reported in serious condition.
Google Streetview shows that Highway 190 is four lanes, with a wide median dividing east and westbound lanes. Most of the roadway is wooded on either side. The accident happened halfway between Bryan and Madisonville.
Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers are still investigating.
