On or about Thursday, March 4th, 2021, around 7:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a school bus sent three people to the hospital. Troopers from the DPS said the accident happened at the intersection of FM 1585 and CR 2500 in Lubbock, Texas.
Authorities said a school bus driven by 52-year-old Margaret Hernandez allegedly failed to yield at the intersection when it collided with a tractor-trailer. Hernandez was ejected from the school bus in the collision. Emergency responders rushed Hernandez and nine students from the bus to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
According to Google Maps, the accident happened a short distance from Martin Luther King Avenue.
Police are still investigating the accident.
