Details:

On or about Friday, May 6th, 2022, around 10:30 at night, an accident between a cyclist and a truck towing a trailer left a 46-year-old man dead. Troopers from the LSP said the accident was reported along Highway 19 in East Feliciana Parish, Louisiana.

Representatives from the Louisiana State Police said 46-year-old Michael John Moredock was killed when he was allegedly hit by a truck towing a trailer as he was riding his bike alongside or across Highway 19. After the initial collision, the truck towing the trailer left the scene of the accident. Emergency responders pronounced Moredock dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the incident.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Slaughter.

Officials are still trying to find the truck that left the scene.
