On or about Monday, November 30th, 2020, around 2:45 in the afternoon, a single-vehicle school bus accident sent several children to the hospital. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened along Merrick Road near Alhambra Road in Massapequa, New York.
Officers said an unspecified number of children were injured when the school bus they were on veered off the side of the road and slammed into a pole a short distance off the pavement. Paramedics transported several children to a nearby hospital to be treated for unspecified injuries.
