On or about Wednesday, April 7th, 2021, around 11:20 in the morning, an accident between a box truck and a motorhome towing a vehicle left at least one person injured. Investigators said the accident happened along Interstate 85 in Gaffney, South Carolina.
Deputies from the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office said injuries were reported after a Penske box truck allegedly struck the rear of a motorhome that was towing a car. Emergency responders treated at least one individual after the accident, but it is not clear if anybody was transported to the hospital. Authorities did not indicate which vehicle contained the injured victims.
According to Google Maps, Gaffney is situated about 49 miles northeast of Greenville.
Officials are still examining the circumstance surrounding the incident.
