Details:
On or about Monday, November 9th, 2020, around 11:45 in the morning, an accident between a box truck and a juvenile cyclist sent one person to the hospital. Officers said the accident happened at the intersection of Southbury Boulevard and Wolf’s Crossing Road in Oswego, Illinois.
Authorities from the area said an as-of-yet unidentified child was injured when they were allegedly struck by a box truck while they were riding their bike. The child was taken to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
Police are still trying to track down the box truck, which fled the scene after the accident.
Looking at the area on Google Streetview shows Wolf’s Crossing is two lanes that run east and west, while Southbury Boulevard runs north and south, which leads into a nearby subdivision. Oswego sits on the far western outskirts of the greater Chicago area.
