On or about Wednesday, February 16th, 2022, around 6:00 in the morning, a hit-and-run accident between a pickup truck towing a trailer and a passenger vehicle sent one woman to the hospital. Deputies from the County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along South Expressway 281 in Edinburg, Texas.
Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the SUV they were in was hit by a pickup truck towing a trailer along Expressway 281. After the initial impact, the SUV veered off the road and hit a barrier before it flipped. The pickup truck towing the trailer did not stay at the scene following the accident.
According to Google Maps, Edinburgh is about 228 miles south of downtown San Antonio.
