One Injured in Log Truck Accident on Interstate 5 near Lacey

Details:
On or about Tuesday, March 16th, 2021, around 1:20 in the afternoon, an accident between a pedestrian and a log truck sent a woman to the hospital with serious injuries. Officials from the WSP said the accident happened on the northbound side of Interstate 5 just outside Lacey, Washington.
Washington State Police said one woman was seriously injured when she was allegedly hit by a northbound log truck. Paramedics transported the woman to Providence St. Peter Hospital after the accident. No other injuries were reported by WSP Troopers.
Interstate 5 runs just north of Lacey, which is situated about 5 miles east of downtown Olympia.
Police are still looking into the accident.
