One person was seriously injured in a rear-end collision with a tractor-trailer while driving west along the Massachusetts Turnpike in Palmer, MA. Authorities report the crash took place around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025.

The eastbound side of the Turnpike was temporarily shut down to allow a helicopter to land in order to transport the injured person. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
